Leila Bianchi Aguiar

 

Leila Bianchi Aguiar is a Historian, Associate Professor of the History Department of the Graduate Program in Social History and the Professional Master's in History Teaching at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). With a PhD in Social History by Fulminense Ferderal University (UFF), she held a post-doctoral internship at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Leila conducts research and advises master's and doctoral work in the area of cultural heritage preservation, cultural policies, tourism in preserved urban sites and tourism history. She coordinates, in partnership with Professor Márcia Chuva, the research group Policies for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage at Unirio. She worked as a researcher at the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute at Unesco and is currently part of the Brazilian team of the ECHOES Project (Horizon 2020).
