Milton Guran

 

 

BIO

Milton Guran is a photographer, with a Masters in Social Comunication (UnB,1991), a PhD in Anthropology (EHESS, France, 1996), and a Post-Doc by USP (2004-2004). Milton is a researcher at LABHOI – Oral and Image History Lab at UFF. He won the Vitae in Arts Scholarship (1991) and of the Funarte Marc Ferrez price, twice. He is the author of Linguagem Fotográfica e Informação (2005, 3ª ed.) and Agudás – Os Brasileiros do Benin (2000), and co-author, with Ana Sallas, of Gente não é lixo (2020). He is also the author of the website acervoaguda.com.br, among other books and articles in the photography and anthropology fields.
